Amazing Homemade Body Butter

Are you tired of trying to decipher the jumble of ingredients on the back of your lotion bottle? Fear not, my friend! I’m here to show you how to make your very own amazing body butter using simple, nourishing ingredients that you can actually pronounce.

If you’re like me, then you know how frustrating it can be to deal with dry skin. It can be uncomfortable, unsightly, and even painful at times. This can be particularly true during the colder winter months when the air is dry and our skin is more likely to become dehydrated. However, living in a dry climate can also wreak havoc on our skin, leaving it feeling tight, itchy, and in desperate need of hydration.

That’s why it’s important to use a lotion or oil that absorbs well, to help lock in moisture and keep our skin feeling soft and supple. Moisturizing is not only good for our skin’s appearance, but it can also help to prevent wrinkles—which I have a blog post on how I reduced the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles with an unexpected product!

Moisturizing can also slow down the aging process, and even protect against environmental stressors. So whether you’re dealing with dry skin due to a specific climate or just your skin’s natural tendencies, finding the right lotion or oil can make all the difference. So say goodbye to mystery chemicals and say hello to healthy, glowing skin!

Get ready to whip up some magic with this quick and easy tutorial on how to make your own homemade body butter. Let’s dive in!

MATERIALS NEEDED:

STEPS:

Measure out the desired amount of each ingredient: shea butter, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, and lotion. Note: To make the body butter fluffier and less oily, use more shea butter, and lotion. Also, if you want the body butter to be less runny and to absorb faster, use less coconut oil.

Place all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl and gently combine with a fork to work out most of the clumps from the shea butter.

Then, using an electric hand mixer, blend the ingredients together until they are well combined and the mixture is fluffy.

Transfer the mixture to a clean container, such as a jar with a lid or a squeeze bottle.

Store the body butter in a cool, dry place until ready to use.

That’s it! You now have your very own homemade body butter that is rich in moisturizing and skin-nourishing ingredients. Let me know if you make some of your own, I’d love to hear from you!

Best,

Mariah
